My interest in all things handmade began when my children were tiny, handpainting jungle animals on to their bedroom curtains and sewing their clothes – a natural extension from creating my own.
I always hankered to work with clay and finally after the birth of my 3rd child I bought myself a kiln and taught myself to pot! It took a lot of trial and error, but after a lot of tears and perseverance, I ran a successful pottery for a number of years producing colourful hand-decorated earthenware.
Colour has always inspired me and so working in glass was a natural progression. The intricacies of fused glass and the excitement of beadmaking are a daily challenge and now partnered with my husband, John we endeavour to create unique items for personal wear.
